Clothing List
You must be able to carry or wheel whatever you pack. Don’t let your luggage be overweight (allowance 20 kilos max).
o 2 Kippot (+ loads of clips)
o 2 Baseball Caps/Bandanas. For your health and safety you will have to wear a hat or cap at all times when in the sun.
o 10 T-shirts
o 2 Casual Shirts (Smarter than T-shirts to wear when visiting people/sites that require extra respect)
o 2 White shirts for Shabbat/outfit for Shabbat (girls: long skirts below the knees, boys: smart trousers)
o 2 Warm jumpers/sweaters
o 5 Bermuda (long) Shorts
o 2 Casual Trousers / Jeans
o 10 Pairs underwear
o 10 Pairs Socks (Sports)
o 2 Nightwear/pyjamas
o 1 Swimming costume + long shirt for girls
o 1 Pair All Terrain Sandals
o 1 Pair Trainers/Sneakers/Sports shoes (Trainers with good ankle support are needed for some hikes. )

o PENCIL CASE - with contents! But please be sure to remove your compass, scissors and any other sharp objects otherwise they will be confiscated by airport security and will not be returned.

« All medication including Paracetamol must be handed in to staff at the March 15th Briefing meeting
« If required: please bring TWO inhalers, one to be handed in to staff.
« All medication must be clearly labeled with your child’s name.
More Essential Items
o HK Identity card
o Passport -- You won’t get very far without it! You will hand it to the teachers at the Airport.
o Backpack (For daily trips -- about a 25 liter capacity. This is size of most schoolbags)
o Bag that you can pack clothes for overnight. This is not a fashion item! o A swimming bag /plastic bag for wet clothes
o You will need to carry a bottle of water with you every day.
o Torch/flashlight and spare batteries. This is essential for cave and tunnel exploration. You may wish to buy a Head Torch, if inexpensive.

The school cannot accept responsibility for any loss. We will not be able to file police reports for loss of items. If you are unclear about any item on this list please contact us at school.
Mobile phones may be brought on The Carmel School Israel Trip, but they are not allowed to be used during the trip. They are not covered by the Israel Experience luggage insurance policy.
The school does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to mobile phones.
If you wish your child to have a mobile phone on the trip, you must arrange your own insurance cover.
There are very strict rules with regard to the use of mobile phones on the trip. Students will not be calling home or accepting calls from home during the trip. The school will keep parents updated as to the daily events and activities of the trip, and parents will have teachers’ mobile numbers to use in case of an emergency.
